Webisode recap

As we move into tabulating and annoucing the Dragonee's People's Choce awards (don't forget to vote below), I thought I'd share with you a recap of the webisodes to date.  Special thanks to director Lornestar who did the heavy lifting on these. Please post your thoughts and comments (just hit the comment button below) on these, how we can make them better, funnier, more interesting and most of all what you'd like to see from Season Two's Webisodes?

Episode 1:  Math is Hard

Episode 2:  Spell wha?

Episode 3:  Around the Den: a behind the scenes tour

Episode 4:  The Red Carpet: Series Premiere

Episode 5:  Bloopers

Episode 6:  Season One Highlights

Webisode 6: Season One Highlights

Lornestar has really outdone himself this week.  Our webisode editor has complied what he feels is the best of the best from Dragons' Den: Season One as a tribute to the Dragons, the Pitchers and of course the CBC.

We tip our hat to all the hard working folks, in front and behind the cameras.

More Tad + More Arie

Webisode Director, P2thumb Lornstar informs me that the 6th and final webisode will be P4thumbready  for Wednesday.

In the meantime, we've dug up some behind the scenes footage of two or our favorites from Episode 5:  Tad the Toilet Paper Man from Body Brush (left) and Arie Ross from SmartCD (right).

We hope you enjoy it as much as we enjoyed shooting it!

Webisode 5: Bloopers

As the following video will attest, we (Tom the Cameraman, Lornstar, Director extraordinaire and I) had a ton of fun making the webisodes for Dragons' Den.  We hope you enjoyed them too.

Next week will wrap the season one run of webisodes with a Special Tribute Video to Season One, but until then, here are some less than shining moments from this season's webisodes.

Webisode 4: The Red Carpet

100_1461_smaller_1We held a red carpet gala for the opening of the show.

Here's the behind the scenes footage, including disucssion with the Dragons and their families.

Find out the "Best Advice" the Dragons can offer Entrepreneurs by clicking PLAY below.

Webisode 3 - Around the Den

Now that you've seen the show, go behind the scenes with Webisode 3 - Around the Den.

Director extraordinaire Lornestar does it again, in the third webisode for Dragons' Den, as we take you inside the dragons' den, onto the hotseat and to find out just want kind of car Kevin drives.

Webisode 2 - Spell Wha?

Spelling_3 This week's webisodes sees contestants, each of whom wants to be a great entrepreneur, can spell....Entrepreneur.

This webisode was directed and edited by none other than LORNESTAR.

Webisode 1: Math is Hard

Well here it is.  The first behind the scenes webisode the CBC's new business reality show, Dragons' Den. Just click the PLAY button and enjoy. Don't worry, it isn't that blurry.

Contestants sought hundreds of thousands of dollars in investment from the Dragons. So we decided to see if they could do Math.

This webisode is not produced by the CBC.  But my by team.

If you have a complaint, and endorsement or a comment, please post it below.  But as you will see from the video this was all done in good fun, and no contestants were seriously injured during the the production this clip.

Enjoy! but most of all, if you do dig it, please click SHARE (bottom right corner of the video player above) and pass the webisode around to your family and friends.

Does this pic make me look fat?

As you know, we are hard at work at updating the website, moving the blog from unofficial to official status, editing the episodes and working on the webisodes.  As part of the behind the scenes webisodes, Canadian Artist Mr. Paul Gilligan, author of internationally syndicated cartoon strip, Pooch Cafe sent over this over for us to use:

Sean_dragons_den

Which will be used in the end credits of the webisodes, like so:

End_title_2_1

Now truth be told, this isn't the first time, I've been turned into a cartoon character by Paul.  Back in my lawyer days, I had a few walk ons to his strip, and played the part of the protagonist's attorney.  Sounds reasonable? Well did I tell you the protagonist is a dog named Poncho?
